Collie
“Lassie” – older dog lovers fondly remember: the Collie was the star of the TV series of the same name, portrayed as a clever, loyal and sensitive helper. Its alert and balanced nature remains characteristic to this day. The Collie is affectionate, family-oriented and needs a lot of attention – cuddles are just as important as shared activities.
Originally from Scotland, the Collie – then called the “Colley Dog” – was used for herding sheep. Today it is best known as a noble companion and family dog. The British and American types differ slightly: while the British Collie is usually lighter, the American variant can weigh up to 34 kg. What unites both is the slim build, long muzzle and lush coat, which requires regular grooming.
Such a stylish dog deserves premium resting places: the orthopaedic dog beds from Doctor Bark provide firm support and a secure feeling – especially in sizes L or XL. For more flexibility, a dog blanket creates a soft retreat on the sofa or floor. For shorter resting phases, shape-retaining dog cushions fit perfectly into everyday life.
Doctor Bark designs functional dog accessories for demanding owners – hygienic, durable and visually tidy. All products are fully washable at 60 °C / 95 °C, keep their shape and remain like new even after many washes. Especially for long-haired breeds like the Collie, this is an unbeatable advantage for cleanliness, comfort and style.
