Cocker Spaniel

The Cocker Spaniel – more precisely the English Cocker Spaniel – is one of the most popular spaniels worldwide. The breed originated in the 19th century in England as a specialist for hunting game birds such as woodcocks. In 1892, the Cocker was officially recognized as a distinct breed by the English Kennel Club. The famous male “Obo” (born in 1879) is considered the founding sire of the line.
The modern Cocker Spaniel is a lively, sensitive and very affectionate dog. He loves exercise, play and tasks – but is also cuddly, social and family-friendly. He is especially well-suited to active families with children or people who spend a lot of time outdoors. His fine, silky coat requires some grooming, especially around the ears and legs.
After play and activity, a premium dog basket bed from Doctor Bark ensures the necessary rest – ergonomic, durable and machine-washable at 95 °C. For a more flexible solution, a dog blanket can serve as a padded resting area on the floor or sofa. And since the Cocker, as a former hunting dog, loves to ride along, the suitable car seat cover is recommended for travel – non-slip, dirt-repellent and fully washable when needed.
Doctor Bark develops all products with a clear goal: practical functionality combined with high hygiene. Whether bed, blanket or car accessory – every item is durable, robust and machine-washable at 60 °C / 95 °C. This keeps dog accessories permanently clean and well maintained. With proper care, Doctor Bark even offers up to 10 years warranty on many products – a true statement of quality and sustainability.
