Cavalier King Charles Spaniel

The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel was already mentioned in Juliana Berners’ “Book of St. Albans” in 1486 and most likely originated at the English court. In 1945, the modern form – with a shorter muzzle than in early depictions – was officially recognized as a distinct breed. The term “Cavalier” goes back to the royalist troops under Charles I during the English Civil War.
The Cavalier is a cheerful, adaptable companion with a very gentle nature. Even first-time owners find training easy, as this small spaniel is eager to please and forms a strong bond with his people. He loves company – young and old alike – and suits both families with children and seniors seeking a loyal, uncomplicated friend.
At home, the Cavalier appreciates warm, soft resting spots. Especially popular are the soft ergonomic cushions from Doctor Bark, which gently yield yet remain supportive. Cozy dog blankets complete the set perfectly – whether on the sofa, in the basket, or on the road. For a more classic option, the soft ergonomic dog basket bed offers a stylish retreat with fully washable equipment.
All Doctor Bark products are easy-care and durable. Whether cushion, nest, or blanket – they can be washed completely at 60 °C / 95 °C, keep their shape, and stay hygienically fresh even after many washes. That way, your little king can relax day after day on a clean, cozy spot.
