Malinois

The Malinois is a Belgian Shepherd breed that originated in the 19th century. As the only short-haired representative of the Belgian Shepherd lines, it developed from regional herding dogs with a strong work ethic. The first official breed standard was established in 1892.
Character-wise, the Malinois combines energy, endurance, and high intelligence. It is alert, resilient, and always ready for new challenges – qualities that make it especially valued in service work, dog sports, and by experienced handlers. At the same time, the Malinois requires sensitive but consistent leadership along with both physical and mental stimulation.
After intensive training, a stable and hygienic resting place is essential. Dog beds from Doctor Bark offer either a soft ergonomic surface (Green Label, washable at 60 °C) or an orthopaedic mattress (Red Label, washable at 95 °C) for optimal joint support.
Especially for highly active dogs, an orthopaedic dog cushion is recommended. It features washable padding, optional waterproof covers, and a choice of cozy fleece surface – machine washable at 95 °C.
For everyday flexibility, a dog blanket is ideal – usable as a sofa protector, floor mat, or portable resting area. Comfortable thermo padding provides warmth and pressure relief.
For safe car transport, a premium boot cover for dogs reliably shields the entire cargo area from hair, moisture, and dirt. Noise-dampening thermo padding ensures a calm ride, while the robust, non-slip surface provides security for active dogs – fully washable at 95 °C.
