Kooikerhondje

The Kooikerhondje (meaning “little decoy dog”), also known as the Dutch decoy spaniel, has its origins in the Netherlands, where it was used from the 16th century onwards to lure ducks into so-called “Kooi” traps. Cheerful, sensitive, and highly intelligent, this breed is well suited to families, thriving with consistent yet gentle training.
During the 17th and 18th centuries, the Kooikerhondje was a popular subject in Dutch paintings. After nearly disappearing during World War II, it was revived from a handful of surviving dogs and today enjoys recognition as a loyal, lively companion with a deep attachment to its owner.
For restful sleep, an orthopaedic dog bed is ideal – durable, shape-retaining, and perfectly suited for medium-sized breeds like the Kooikerhondje.
As a flexible option, an orthopaedic dog cushion provides a comfortable resting surface for the living room, basket, or terrace – available with optional waterproof fleece covers.
A durable dog blanket protects furniture and floors, ensures hygiene, and retains its quality even after frequent washing.
For car journeys, a rear seat dog cover keeps upholstery free from dirt and hair. With non-slip stability and thermo-padding, it offers safety and comfort on the road.
