Irish Wolfhound

The Irish Wolfhound is one of the oldest and tallest dog breeds worldwide. Originally bred for wolf hunting, the breed nearly disappeared when its quarry vanished. By the 17th century it was close to extinction – only dedicated breeders and carefully planned projects ensured its survival.
Today, the gentle giant represents strength, dignity, and sensitivity. Reaching up to 90 cm at the shoulder, he needs space, structured care, and plenty of rest. Despite his imposing size, the Irish Wolfhound is family-friendly, calm, loyal – yet also enjoys regular activity.
For large breeds like the Irish Wolfhound, an orthopaedic dog bed with a dimensionally stable mattress is ideal. Both mattress and cover are washable at 95 °C – ensuring long-lasting hygiene and healthy sleep.
As a more flexible option, the orthopaedic dog cushion offers ergonomic padding, full washability at 95 °C, and optional waterproof covers (with or without fleece) – perfect for living room, hallway, or terrace.
For car journeys with such a large dog, a boot cover for dogs is the best choice. It reliably protects the entire boot from moisture, dirt, and scratches. The sound-absorbing thermal padding ensures comfort on long trips and remains dimensionally stable even after frequent washes.
Whether bed, cushion, or car cover – Doctor Bark products are veterinarian-developed, durable, and washable at up to 95 °C. Perfectly tailored to the needs of giant breeds like the Irish Wolfhound.
