Irish Red Setter

The Irish Red Setter originates from Ireland, where it was bred as a versatile hunting dog. As early as 1882, the first Setter Club was founded, still organising field trials and shows today. Over time, the breed developed into an athletic, enduring, and reliable partner with an excellent sense of smell.
As a pointing dog, the Irish Red Setter is fast, agile, and intelligent – yet sensitive, affectionate, and family-oriented. He thrives on attention, exercise, and a harmonious environment. Harshness is not suitable; clear guidance combined with positive reinforcement is ideal.
For restful sleep, an orthopaedic dog bed from Doctor Bark is the perfect choice: mattress and cover are washable at 95 °C – hygienic, robust, and ideal for active dogs.
As a flexible alternative, the orthopaedic dog cushion provides ergonomic support, is completely washable at 95 °C, and is optionally available with a waterproof cover (with or without fleece) – perfect at home or on the go.
For travel, a car seat cover protects the vehicle from dirt and moisture. Odour-neutral, sound-absorbing, and equipped with thermal padding – dimensionally stable even after many washes.
Doctor Bark products – whether bed, cushion, or car seat cover – are developed together with veterinarians, thoughtfully designed, and washable up to 95 °C. Functional, durable, and perfectly tailored to active breeds like the Irish Setter.
