Doctor Bark dog bed – thanks to the integration of an orthopedic insert cushion, a unique comfort experience is guaranteed. The height difference between the lying surface and the surrounding edge varies depending on the size of the bed. This causes the edge to function like a pillow, ensuring that the spine remains straight during rest and sleep. This guarantees healthy sleep.

This is a perfect combination for your dog’s well-being and provides optimal insulation against cold, drafty floors and sensitive dogs. From an orthopedic perspective, this is the gentlest combination for your dog.

For light, superficial soiling, it is sufficient to wash only the insert cushion at 95°C .

For the production of all our items, we exclusively use twill fabric with a 3/1 weave. This type of weave is exceptionally dense, robust, and durable.

Before cutting, the fabric is pressed at 3 bar pressure and over 100°C. This makes it even smoother and allows moisture to bead off more easily. Dirt and dog hair can be shaken off more effortlessly.

For cutting, the fabrics are laid out flat and checked once again for defects. The subsequent cutting is done by hand. During machine cutting, fabric shifting and inaccuracies are unavoidable, whereas hand cutting eliminates these errors.

Since the seams are exposed to high stress, we use the elaborate but stable quilted stitch method to connect the various components securely.

Finally, all products are inspected by hand with great care, ensuring that our customers receive a perfect product.

WASHING and CARE

All Doctor Bark dog beds are washed COMPLETELY at 95˚C, not just the cover,
as is the case with conventional dog pads.

Procedure:

Preparation:

Please shake off hair and coarse dirt from your Doctor Bark dog lying surface. In case of heavy hair, simply use a vacuum cleaner. This also helps protect your washing machine. We recommend pre-treating stubborn stains with a stain spray or a microfiber cloth if necessary. Please turn dog beds inside out. This turns the inner corners outward, allowing hidden dirt to be washed out easily.

Washing:

Are you using the Doctor Bark textile wash & care detergent? Then please add 50 ml of this detergent to the detergent compartment.

If you are using a conventional mild detergent, please follow the manufacturer’s dosage instructions. Please ensure that your detergent contains no fabric softener and no silicone remover.

To ensure that the filling of the Doctor Bark dog lying surfaces regains its full volume after washing, please use laundry balls or standard tennis balls. This works wonders.

Select the basic setting "gentle cycle" with a maximum spin speed of 800 rpm.

Drying:

Shake your Doctor Bark dog lying surface lightly, as you would a down comforter. Then place the dog lying surface together with the laundry or tennis balls into the tumble dryer. Select the "gentle drying" setting.

Without a tumble dryer, your Doctor Bark dog lying surface will of course also air dry. For air drying, choose a warm and well-ventilated place so that your dog lying surface is dry again within 3–4 hours. Shake the dog lying surface well several times during air drying and gently pull it back into shape repeatedly.
