Some cats like to keep an eye on their surroundings even while they sleep. Others prefer to retreat into boxes, under blankets or into sheltered spaces. The Cat Cave Deluxe was developed specifically for this natural need for retreat and security. Its fully padded design creates a cosy, protected feeling, while the open entrance allows your cat to keep an eye on the outside world at all times.

The thick padding shields the sleeping area and helps reduce surrounding noise. At the same time, the supportive filling comfortably cushions your cat and helps the cave retain its shape. The result is a protected place for sleeping, dozing, hiding and observing.

Human needs were considered too: cat hair and coarse dirt can be vacuumed from the durable outer fabric. For thorough cleaning, not only the cover or inner cushion but the entire cat cave, including padding and filling, can be washed at 95 °C.

For the outer fabric, we use a durable cotton-blend fabric whose cotton content is certified according to GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard). The entire fabric has also been tested for harmful substances in accordance with Oeko-Tex Standard 100 (test no. 08-6223, Shirley).

The breathable filling is made from 100% recycled PET. It regulates moisture, retains its shape and can be machine washed together with the entire cat cave at 95°C – for a reliably hygienic sleeping surface.

Every Cat Cave Deluxe is carefully handcrafted at Doctor Bark. Precise cutting, durable twill fabric and strong quilted seams ensure that the cave retains its shape and withstands the daily demands of climbing in, turning around, snuggling up and regular washing.

Every production step is personally inspected – for a long-lasting favourite spot that maintains its premium quality and blends seamlessly into your home.

• Before washing, thoroughly vacuum or brush off loose cat hair and coarse dirt
• Use a mild detergent and do not add fabric softener
• Wash on a gentle cycle at a maximum of 800 rpm
• For an even washing result, add tennis balls to the drum
• Tumble dry on a gentle setting or dry in a warm, well-ventilated place, shaking the product out several times during drying
