We exclusively use 3/1 weave twill fabric for the production of all our articles. This weave is extremely dense, robust and durable. The fabric is ironed under 3 bar of pressure at over 100°C before it is cut to size. This gives it an even smoother finish and makes it easier for moisture to roll off. Dirt and dog fur can also be shaken off more easily.
The fabrics are panelled for cutting and once again checked for faults. The fabric is then cut by hand. With a machine cut, the fabric shifts and inaccuracies are unavoidable; these errors are eliminated by hand cutting. Because the seams are subjected to considerable strain, we use elaborate but sturdy backstitching to join the various pieces together.
Finally, all products are manually inspected with a high level of attention to detail, ensuring that our customers are provided with a perfect product.

WASHING and CARE
All Doctor Bark dog blankets are washed as a WHOLE at 95°C – not just the cover, as is the case with standard dog blankets.
Procedure:
Preparation:
Please shake the fur and coarse dirt out of your Doctor Bark dog bed. If there is a lot of fur, simply use a vacuum cleaner. This also helps to protect your washing machine. We recommend treating stubborn stains with a stain remover spray or a microfibre cloth. Please turn the dog beds inside out. This way the inner corners are turned outwards and the dirt hidden there can be washed out easily.
Washing:
Are you using Doctor Bark Textile Detergent & Care? Please pour 50 ml of this detergent into the detergent compartment.
If you are using a conventional mild detergent, please consult the manufacturer's dosage instructions. Please make sure that your detergent does not contain fabric softener or silicone solvent.
In order for the filling of the Doctor Bark dog beds to regain their full volume after washing, please use washing balls or normal tennis balls. This works wonders.
Select the default setting "delicate cycle" with a maximum spin speed of 800 rpm.
Drying:
Gently shake out your Doctor Bark dog bed as you would a down duvet. Then place the dog bed in the tumble dryer together with the washing balls or tennis balls. Select the "delicate drying" setting.
You can of course also dry your Doctor Bark dog bed without a tumble dryer. When air drying, choose a warm and well ventilated place so that your dog bed will dry again within 3-4 hours. Give your dog bed several good shakes during the air-drying process and always pull it gently back into shape.
