Greenland Dog

The Greenland Dog is one of the oldest dog breeds in the world. Originally bred by the Inuit, it was used as a sled and hunting dog under extreme Arctic conditions. In times of hardship, it even served as a food source – a symbol of the harsh realities of polar life.
Today, the Greenland Dog stands for strength, independence, and endurance. With its powerful frame, thick coat, and high energy, it is the perfect companion for active people who love the outdoors – whether in snow, mountains, or forests. As a pack animal, it does not bond to a single person but remains friendly and social.
For such robust dogs, an orthopaedic dog bed from Doctor Bark is ideal – also usable in sheltered outdoor areas. The firm mattress ensures joint-friendly comfort. The removable inner cushion can be washed or replaced separately – perfect for dirt, dampness, or heavy use.
For more flexibility, the orthopaedic dog cushion is a great choice. It provides ergonomic support and, with an optional waterproof cover, is also suitable for outdoor use.
A versatile dog mat is another useful option. Lightweight, machine washable, and available in many sizes – ideal for hiking breaks, cabin stays, or at home.
On expeditions by car, a car boot protection reliably keeps the interior clean and dry. Thermal padding provides warmth even after long journeys through snow and ice, while the material remains odour-neutral.
Whether bed, cushion, or mat – Doctor Bark provides the right equipment for strong outdoor dogs: robust, hygienic, orthopaedic, and built for durability. Depending on the series, all products are fully machine washable at 60 °C or 95 °C.
