Bernese Mountain Dog

The breeding of the child-friendly Bernese Mountain Dog began in Switzerland at the beginning of the 20th century – originating from the Burgdorf region. The official start was in 1907, and just three years later, over 100 dogs were presented at an exhibition. The good-natured and self-assured dog with its tricolour coat was first known as the “Dürrbächler” before receiving its present name. The breed is characterised by a loving, family-friendly temperament and a watchful, confident character. Especially with children, the Bernese Mountain Dog is patient and gentle – a true family dog with a strong character.
For a dog with a shoulder height of up to 70 cm, an orthopaedic dog bed is ideal – it relieves the joints and ensures maximum comfort. Combined with an XXL dog blanket, it creates a cosy, easy-care retreat for this strong Swiss companion. Owners who regularly take their dog in the car also benefit from the boot protection cover, which protects the vehicle from dirt and hair while providing a non-slip lying surface – ideal for holidays or trips to the countryside.
